Complete Office Infrastructure Implementation
Design and implementation of complete IT infrastructure for a new office, from scratch to fully operational in record time.
The problem: A tech startup opened its first physical office and contacted us to build the IT infrastructure from scratch. No cables, no network outlets, no servers, no policies. Just an empty space and 20 employees due to move in within 3 weeks.
The budget was limited, but the requirements were not stable network, good Wi-Fi throughout the entire space, access to a central server, network printers, backup system and perimeter security. Everything had to work from day one without issues.
How we approached it: We started with an on-site visit and a detailed planning session with the company founders. We understood how the team works, what applications they use, what the critical workflows are and what the medium-term growth plans look like. We didn't want to build an infrastructure that would be outdated in 6 months.
We designed the network on paper before any purchase: number of outlets per room, location of Wi-Fi access points for uniform coverage, switch sizing, VLAN configuration to separate internal from guest traffic, and the choice of an appropriate firewall for their needs.
Installing the passive infrastructure took 2 days Cat6 structured cabling, patch panel, network outlets, rack. Active equipment arrived pre-configured from our lab. The server was configured with Windows Server, Active Directory, file sharing with department-level permissions and group policies for security.
Printers were integrated into the network and distributed via print server. Automatic backup was configured from day one — we didn't leave that for later. We installed centrally monitored antivirus on all workstations and configured Cove for local and cloud backup.
On the last day we ran an onboarding session with their team, explaining how the network works, how to create a new user, how to access the server and what to do if something doesn't work. We left them a simple manual, jargon-free and easy to read for any non-technical user.
Results:
